For my family - there is no easy way to document family lineage where we all can follow with ease - but I have tried. There is considerable information on Mom's Mother's ancestors (the McCards) on  the Mchargueclan.org website. Please feel free to become a member so you are able to access the  genealogy portion of that website as it is very interesting and informational.
